Welcome to Our School
Our mission is to provide an inclusive environment through a well rounded education that empowers students to be leaders for society. We do that by providing insightful, educating classes, hiring creative, inclusive teachers, and promoting an environment that prioritizes the students over the grades.
Atlas High School is one of the schools within the Frisco Independent School District. Our campus sits on the side of FM423 and is close to Lone Star High School. We have approximately 2,000 students with 200 professional staff members, 10 instructional/non-instructional paraprofessionals, 7 support staff, 1 nurse, 1 health room assistant, a secretary, 4 assistant principals, and a principal. All professional and paraprofessional staff participate in staff development activities during the summer and throughout the school year to enhance teaching strategies and techniques for the improvement of student learning. Many staff members possess or are working toward advanced degrees.
Atlas provides a curriculum through a district-wide instructional design model with some unique classes only offered at Atlas. Teachers provide instruction in both curricular and elective areas. Students receive a strong focus in reading, writing, math, science and social studies. Likewise, students receive specialized instruction in art, music, foreign languages, technology, and physical education. Additionally, all students benefit from participation in a variety of activities including: clubs, Student Council, concerts, school spirit days, and community service programs such as the National Honor Society.
Atlas High School provides the opportunity for students to work in diverse environments, to innovate solutions to problems, to express their creative abilities, and most importantly, to lead society to success.
Our hands on curriculum is flexible for each and every student to discover themselves through working with others.
